 World Book Day (23 April) What about reading and creating a podcast reviewing what you have read?  Our 4 ESO B students shared their reading choices. After reading a book they had to mention the ti tle, genre, plot, characters and recommendation.  Canary Islands Day To celebrate the day of our community 4 ESO students spent a day out on Los Cristianos Beach.  First, they interviewed tourists asking them questions about their knowledge about the Islands. They asked questions about which words they have learned, which food they have tried or which places they have visited.  Second, they played beach volleyball and dove in the sea. Some time to relax and enjoy our nature is always welcome.  Finally, we had a brunch and were ready to go back to High School. The excursion lasted the whole day and the students experienced a real learning situation with the language.  The excursion was fun and very interesting because students could test their linguistic skills and learn. They could spot different accents and nationalities and they even recorded the interviews to analyse the answers.  We will upload more activities that will be done to celebrate Canary Islands Day next week.  We share our photos here....

  Students wrote a news article under the headline "NICE WORK". Texts were posted on the wall (pic).  The best text was selected by the class. Four boys won an award for making an extraordinary article about cats. Today, at school, 4 students were tasked with writing a story for the school newspaper. Not knowing what to write about, they decided to look for inspiration on the internet. That’s when all of a sudden, a cat appeared at their feet. After seeing the cat, they came up with the idea of writing about cats. Once the teacher read the article, she was so emotional that she started crying.      These were some of the books read by one of the classes in our school. After reading the book, readers had to present the book in an appealing way to motivate others to read.                                                                                                                                                       António
