Halloween and Finados: different ways to perceive death, a shared feeling Our IES Adeje celebrated this special day in many ways: different departments (Language, Drawing, History, Technology and English) elaborated activities and materials to represent death and how our beloved ones are remembered. Students and teachers produced representations with varied materials, podcasts with horror stories and anecdotes, photographs and illustrations. Knowing different celebrations help us to understand other cultures and spot similarities and differences with respect and emotion. Students from 1º ESO, 2º ESO, 4º ESO. Hope you like our work! 💀👻 Video: Halloween and Finados at IES ADEJE Social media-Facebook Futhermore, our town hall organised an open theatre along Adeje streets to travel through a past time and see how people celebrated this particular date on the island. How did you celebrate it? Please tell us! 👀
Carnival 2023 (IES ADEJE) We were all so eager to celebrate carnival after Covid-19 that these celebrations were really outstanding! Our students and teachers prepared great activities to enjoy altogether. Tutors of 1º Baccalaureate organised activities and a "tenderete" (typical Canarian party to drink, eat and dance). Students and teachers enjoyed a costume contest, face painting, decoration of masks in AICLE Drawing classes with teacher María Lemus, and history of carnival in the world and in Tenerife. Hope we can transmit our spirit of celebration looking at the photographs of the day.
